Opus Award Nomination
Francis is a finalist for the Opus Awards in the Composer of the Year category, alongside Maxime Goulet and Roxanne Turcotte. The 29th Opus Awards gala will take place on Sunday, February 8 at 3 p.m. at the Salle Bourgie.
Projects
Composer in residence at the Chapelle musicale du Bon-Pasteur
Francis has been appointed composer-in-residence at the Chapelle musicale du Bon-Pasteur. He will compose a string quartet which will be presented by the Mémoire quartet in the spring of 2026. Under the supervision of Karim Lakhdar, cultural mediator of the Chapelle, the public will assist him in all stages of the composition, during a series of workshops.

Winner of the Prix collégien de musique contemporaine 2022-2023
Trois paysages is the winning piece of the 2022-2023 Prix collégien de musique contemporaine . The piece, performed by the Orchestre de l’Agora under the direction of Nicolas Ellis, was submitted to a vote by approximately one hundred music students at CEGEPs and conservatories across Quebec. The $5,000 prize includes a commission from the Société de musique contemporaine du Québec.

1st Prize : Traduttore, Traditore (2023), performed by Charles-Eric Fontaine and Ensemble Éclat, published by Universal Edition.
